As anyone who has done the work can tell you, building a business can be a long and difficult process. Today, as I look back on the early days of C Clean, I’m constantly reminded of the obstacles we’ve overcome to get this far. And I always try to remember to be grateful for every blessing I’ve gotten along the way.
One of the greatest of these blessings has been my beautiful mother, Josefa McLean. In addition to raising our family, my mother also worked a full-time job for forty-five years before retiring in 2015.
Happily for me, my mom has always had plenty of energy. Because when she retired, my new business was just beginning to really pick up speed. As things got busier and busier, I quickly saw that I would soon be needing help. More to the point, I was going to need someone I could trust completely. And who can you trust more than your own mother? Nobody.
At first, mom just helped out around the edges, keeping me organized and giving me the sound advice I needed. But soon she was taking on more of an active role, interacting with clients and learning all aspects of the business. Thankfully, she stuck with me–and the business grew.
Today, my mother Josefa is a key employee, working directly with our most valued clients to insure C Clean’s excellent standard of service. By always going the extra mile to deliver results and client satisfaction, she has become an indispensable member of our firm.
It’s hard for me to express my pride in my mother’s role here at C Clean, and my gratitude that she has chosen to spend this part of her life working with me, and helping me to build our company. It couldn’t be more fitting that I should be posting this on the occasion of this year’s Thanksgiving holiday.
Because all of this is to say: Thanks, Mom.
